João Rosa Alves, winemaker at MENIN Douro Estates and H.O Wines, was awarded the “Douro + Sustentável” award in 2022, in the Enology category.
This award by the IVDP, aims to highlight successful projects in the areas of wine tourism, viticulture and enology, which, due to their innovation, play a fundamental role in the enrichment and promotion of the wine heritage of the Douro Wine Region.
The team led by João Rosa Alves strives for the implementation of the most advanced techniques and production technologies in favor of enhancing the traditions and immense historical legacy of the Douro vineyards. And this is an important recognition of their work, which motivates the entire MWC group to continue cultivating the diversity of the Douro and promoting it around the world.
